Faith, hope and dreams are reflected in this series of still life narrative art that mirror spiritual mystery, and invite contemplative thought.

This series of paintings were created in collaboration with artist/poet Margie Homan of Middletown Ohio, for a show at Wittenberg University in 2008. We combined the disciplines of writing and painting by first outlining ten words, then discussing our individual works as they progressed over time. We did not set out to illustrate, but to influence the other’s work, and found that it broadened our own perspective.

The words chosen: gravity, crystal, veiled, repeat, stories, up & down, refresh, curl, envelope, lounge.
